The Pottery of Santa Ana Pueblo
The Pottery of Santa Ana Pueblo, an exhibition tracing the history and development of pottery making at the Pueblo of Santa Ana, opens Saturday, March 12, 2005 at the Museum of Indian Arts & Culture. A day of dance and celebration, hosted by the people of Santa Ana Pueblo, will mark the opening of the exhibition, the first of its kind dedicated to the pottery of this small Pueblo village. The exhibition remains on display through February 19, 2006.

Elements of Earth and Fire: New Directions in Native American Ceramic Art
A series of installations focusing on innovation in ceramic art opens at the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture on Sunday, October 23, 2005. Elements of Earth and Fire: New Directions in Native American Ceramic Art consists of three four-month installations, each focusing on one element of pottery making: form, texture, or color. The series will highlight the work of over twenty cutting-edge potters and explores how they use pottery making to communicate individual artistic expressions and communal identity. Elements of Earth and Fire runs through October 2006.
